Curation
Pieces, not stock.
Each watch is selected personally for character, condition, and the story it carries, never the loudest reference of the moment. If it doesn't earn a place in the collection, it doesn't enter it.

Condition
Honestly described.
Every watch is examined, photographed in detail, and described in plain language. We tell you what we know, including what we don't. No restoration is hidden, no patina exaggerated.

Service
A direct line.
Enquiries go straight to the dealer, not a queue. Clear pricing, optional in-person viewing in central London, careful packaging, fully insured worldwide shipping. As it should be.

Wasting Time is a small dealer working in the editorial tradition — pieces chosen for character, condition, and the stories they carry, rather than the loudest reference of the moment.
Every watch on the site is one we’d wear ourselves. We photograph each piece in natural light, document what we know about its history, and price honestly against the wider market. If something on the site interests you, we’re happy to share more pictures, our notes on condition, or just a candid view on whether it’s the right buy for what you’re trying to do.
How we work
We buy directly from private collectors and a small network of trusted dealers. Anything that doesn’t pass our own checks doesn’t make it onto the site — and anything you buy can be returned within seven days if it’s not as described.
